Nick Cowling

After completing a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) at Monash University, Nick Cowling embarked upon a sales role in the telecommunications industry.

Wanting to capitalise on his passion for marketing, Nick joined MathMarketing in early 2005.

Deeply experienced in the execution of B2B sales and marketing tactics, Nick has documented the Sales and Marketing plans for companies including ANZ, Canon, NEC Australia, World Vision and Lexis Nexis.

Within MathMarketing, Nick has designed numerous campaigns – nurturing them through conception, development and successful execution.

Keen to hone his skills in the area of strategy translation externally, Nick has project managed the execution of Funnel Plans for companies including Ernst & Young, AAPT, Transfield Services, State Trustees, Kyocera-Mita and IPScape. An accomplished project manager, Nick skillfully manages the activities of all stakeholders whilst never losing sight of the plan’s original objective.

Nick’s most recent endeavours have seen him actively involved in the recruitment, mentoring and management of young marketers; both for clients and within MathMarketing. He is now also in charge of measuring, managing and readying MathMarketing’s channels.

After years immersed in the world of B2B, Nick has a comprehensive understanding of Funnel Logic – MathMarketing’s unique planning methodology. Utilising this understanding on a day-to-day basis, Nick offers blisteringly clear insights into the strategic implications of tactics.

Nick built, and has completed, all four modules of Funnel Academy; MathMarketing’s specialist B2B marketing training course. He has also completed Corporate Visions’ Power Messaging course, in which he learnt key presentation and sales skills.

Nick is a regular presenter; in 2007 he shared this passion of taking strategy to actions with 3rd year Monash University marketing students.  And in 2008 he was keynote speaker at the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) Annual Forum where he presented on the issue of Sales & Marketing Alignment.
